						The St. Thomas Aquinas Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) actively serves economically disadvantaged families and individuals residing in the parish boundaries. St. Vincent de Paul's vision was to "embrace the world in a network of charity." We work with the resources of our parish in addition to local, federal and state agencies in our region.  Also, we network with other organizations, local parishes, legal agencies and charities. "Where two or more are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of you." As Disciples of Christ, we go into the home to listen,  we evaluate the situation, and then after discussion with other members of the Society, we attempt to provide an economic bridge that will get those in need through a difficult time.   We are not a long term support agency but a helping hand - a hand up and not a hand out.
